Local and Long-Distance Moving in Vienna

Single-Family Home Moves in Town

Single-family homes make up about 78 percent of Vienna’s housing, and nearly half of it was built between 1940 and 1969. Older homes tend to have tighter stairs and doorways, so we pad railings and doorways and take furniture apart where it helps. Our residential movers and local movers handle these moves from loading through unloading.

Apartments and Condos Along Maple Avenue

Mixed-use projects on Maple Avenue West, including 444 Maple and Vienna Market, add apartments and townhouse condos above ground-floor retail, according to the Town’s development listings. Our apartment movers plan around loading areas and elevators. Ask your building manager what the building requires, then send us the details with your estimate request.

Office and Business Moves

Vienna sits next to Tysons and has its own business district along Maple Avenue. Our commercial movers move furniture, records, and equipment, and our warehouse can hold business inventory between locations.

Senior Moves and Downsizing

Vienna is 83 percent owner-occupied, and many homeowners eventually move to a smaller place. Our senior movers help sort what comes along and what goes, then move the household at a pace that suits the family.

Packing, Storage, and Long Distance

We offer full or partial packing services and secure warehouse storage in Lorton for the gap between homes. For out-of-state moves, our long-distance movers go to any state, in any direction, with a written inventory of what goes on the truck.

What Does a Vienna Move Cost?

For a Vienna move we give you a free written estimate with no hidden fees, after an in-home or video walkthrough. Home size, the hours on the job, packing, and storage move the number. Long-distance moves from Vienna are priced on distance and the size or weight of your shipment.

We offer discounts to active military, veterans, first responders, seniors, and educators. Our guide to what movers cost in Northern Virginia gives more context on how estimates are built.

What Vienna Movers Run Into

Maple Avenue Traffic

Maple Avenue is Route 123 and the town’s main road. A 2019 Town transportation study counted about 33,200 vehicles a day, with traffic staying heavy between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. That means midday loading near the corridor is slower than it looks on a map. Tell us your address so we plan the approach and the timing.

Parade and Festival Dates

Vienna closes streets for events. The 80th Vienna Halloween Parade is Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 7 p.m., and past parades have closed Maple Avenue between East Street and Lawyers Road in the evening. Oktoberfest takes over Church Street Northeast each fall. Check the Town calendar before you pick a move date, and we will plan around it.

Town and County Rules

The Town noise ordinance, Section 10-20.1, is enforced by the Vienna Police Department. The Town’s published street-use permits cover special events and block parties, so ask Planning and Zoning before you reserve curb space for a truck. Addresses in Oakton fall outside the Town and follow Fairfax County rules instead.
